Description

Manual, hands-on techniques are applied to the shoulders, head, neck, and face to release tension, improve mobility, and support overall function in these interconnected areas. You will be fully clothed or appropriately draped and primarily lying down during the session. You will have the option for intraoral (inside the mouth) work with TMJ and buccal release. This work is especially beneficial for those experiencing TMJ dysfunction, jaw tension or clicking, chronic headaches, sinus congestion or pressure, and neck or facial discomfort, and voice problems. By addressing restrictions in the soft tissues of the head and neck, this treatment can help reduce pain, improve ease of movement, support drainage, and create more space for comfortable breathing. Many clients also find this work deeply regulating for the nervous system, helping to shift patterns of clenching, holding, and stress-related tension. Because these structures are closely tied to breathing and voice production, sessions may additionally support vocal ease and endurance. This can be helpful for individuals with vocally demanding lifestyles or those looking to maintain vocal health, with or without concurrent voice therapy. Myofascial release is a slow, intentional, hands-on approach that works with the body’s connective tissue. Pressure is typically gentle to moderate and sustained, rather than forceful or fast paced. You may feel a subtle stretching, melting, or unwinding sensation in the tissues, and at times the work can be tender in more restricted areas, but it should always feel manageable and guided by your comfort. Sessions are collaborative, with space for feedback to ensure you feel supported throughout.
